Trump has changed the U.S into a country that lacks consistency in its policies. He is often described as someone who does not like criticism of his policies and tends to make decisions on his own. Therefore, the attack on Iran seemed to be carried out by his own decision. In fact, Trump used U.S military might to remove Venezuelan leader, Nicolás Maduro without permission from Congress. However, some reports suggest that the attack on Iran may have been influenced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This situation makes Trump appear inconsistent in his foreign policy and could lead to him failing to accomplish what he promised.
