Calorie Mate is a brand of energy bar produced by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. in Japan. There are various flavors of Calorie Mate, for instance, fruit, chocolate, cheese, and vanilla.
The first time, I ate that was when I was a junior high school student. I participated in a hiking event, where participants could get Calorie Mate.
At that time, I didn’t feel its taste was so nice. However, I love it now.
Recently, Otsuka announced the discontinuation of the fruit-flavored type because of its rising demand.
I bought the last one at a convenience store today. The packaging has changed little since its inception.
